1995 - 1999 BMW 5, 7, X5-series cars had a multi-information radio display which was illuminated by a series of incandescent lamps. Over time, when a lamp failed, a dark spot would appear on the display. It might look similar to a checkerboard design.

Requirements:

Pull off old lamps, which are encased in plastic holder. Dispose. Solder new bulb onto board.
